ISO 55001 Asset Management System

The ISO 55001 training enhances delegate’s understanding in Asset Management System (AMS) principles and develop necessary expertise to perform a AMS audit by applying widely recognized audit principles, procedures and techniques. Asset management is vital for all organizations that care about the overall values and performance over the whole lifecycle of their assets. 

An effective asset management strategy together with systematic implementation of asset management plans can help improve an asset’s life cycle, from its initial start-up to commissioning, operation and maintenance to disposal. This training will give hands-on experience and the delegates will be able to master audit techniques and become competent to manage audit related program, team, communication with customers, conflict resolution and much more.

Target Audience

This qualification has been designed to develop knowledge and skills required to conduct a full audit of an organization in Asset Management System targeting professionals such as C-level executives, Consultants, Managers, Engineers, AMS team members who want to be aware of entire AMS auditing process.  

Course Prerequisites

There are no official prerequisites for ISO 55001 Auditor training course, however Shengel ED  recommends following expertise:

  • Exposure to asset management system
  • Concepts of managing assets and concept of Life cycle costing

Course Duration

The recommended guided learning hours for this qualification is 5 Days (40 hours).

Day 1: Introduction Asset Management Systems and ISO 55001

Day 2: Concept of life cycle costing, audit principles, preparation and launching of an audit

Day 3: On-site audit activities

Day 4: Closing the audit

Day 5: Certification Exam

Assessment Methodology

This qualification is assessed by written examination.
